Exea Impact is the Puig family’s foundation, established in Barcelona in 1996 with the mission of contributing to a better world for future generations. After 30 years of activity, it is embarking on a new phase focused on transformative philanthropy, tackling significant challenges with an innovative, long-term approach, and acting with responsibility and intergenerational awareness.
Guided by values that place people and the collective interest at the heart of its work, the Foundation collaborates with individuals, institutions, and organizations that address root causes rather than just symptoms—and that have the potential to scale and inspire new models.
Its work is organized around three pillars: the cultural, educational, and social legacy the Foundation has maintained since its inception; initiatives addressing pressing challenges such as unwanted loneliness and urban resilience to climate change; and the promotion of talent and excellence. All of this is carried out from Barcelona with a global outlook.
Our Origins
Since its foundation, Exea Impact has promoted cultural, educational, and social projects. Its efforts have focused on supporting leading institutions, many closely linked to Barcelona, the family’s hometown and the base of the business group.
Through this ongoing support, the Foundation has helped strengthen the cultural, educational, and social fabric, laying the groundwork for a legacy that continues to be one of the cornerstones of its mission today.

Governing bodies
The Board of Trustees is the foundation’s highest governing and representative body. It is responsible for fulfilling the foundation’s mission and managing its assets and resources with diligence.
Since the founding of the Puig Foundation on January 29, 1996, until September 27, 2013, the board was composed of Mr. Marian Puig Planas, Mr. Toni Puig Planas, and Mr. Josep Maria Puig Planas. Mr. Enric Puig Planas also served as a member until his passing on September 18, 2008.
