The 63rd Tenor Viñas Competition strengthens its position as a benchmark for artistic excellence and international reach
The 63rd edition of the Tenor Viñas International Singing Competition concluded with great success following the awards ceremony held last Sunday at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. This year’s edition stood out for the outstanding artistic quality of its participants and its strong international dimension.
The competition brought together 712 singers from 64 countries, with 16 finalists recognised during the ceremony at the Liceu. Once again, Exea Impact, the Puig family foundation, supported the Tenor Viñas Competition, reaffirming its commitment to music, culture and the promotion of emerging talent.
The First Grand Prize, offered by Exea Impact and the Foundation of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, was awarded to Ukrainian bass-baritone Vladyslav Buialskyi. The prize includes €30,000 and a contract for upcoming seasons at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
In addition to the First Grand Prize, the jury awarded Yuliia Zasimova (Second Prize), Vlad Tlusch (Third Prize), Felix Park (Fourth Prize), Karla Pineda (Fifth Prize) and Elionor Martínez (Sixth Prize). The Catalan soprano Elionor Martínez also received the Oratorio-Lied Prize, becoming the first singer to win this award as an independent category within the competition.
