Manuel Puig was honoured by the Joan Miró Foundation at the 2026 Patrons’ Event

The Joan Miró Foundation awarded Puig its honorary Carob Tree distinction as part of the 2026 Patrons’ Event, an annual gathering recognising the commitment of individuals and organisations whose support makes possible the continuity and international reach of the Foundation’s cultural project.

The distinction highlighted Puig’s longstanding support for the Joan Miró Foundation and, in particular, its key role in making the exhibition Miró and the United States possible. The award was accepted by Manuel Puig, Vice Chairman of Puig and Trustee of the Exea Impact Foundation, at the ceremony held in Barcelona.

Exea Impact, the philanthropic foundation of the Puig family, participated as a collaborating entity of the Miró Council, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening and promoting the city’s cultural ecosystem.

For Exea Impact, this recognition reaffirmed the value of long-standing cultural partnerships aligned with a long-term philanthropic vision, focused on generating social impact and supporting the sustainability of cultural institutions.
