Adolescencia Libre de Móviles (ALM)
Increasingly early access to smartphones and digital platforms is affecting how children and teenagers communicate and interact. In many cases, this early and intensive use occurs without adequate guidance, within a social context that normalizes hyperconnectivity from a very young age.
Strengthening families’ role in the digital transition
Exea Impact partners with Adolescencia Libre de Móviles movement to empower families and educational communities as key agents of protection, guidance, and social change during the digital transition. The goal is to help them make informed decisions, set healthy boundaries, and create environments that support emotional development, face-to-face relationships, and overall well-being for children and adolescents.
The program focuses on:
• Increasing the number of families aware of and committed to the Social Pact to delay the first smartphone
• Expanding talks and workshops for families, preteens, and teaching staff
• Promoting a broad social pact for digital protection of children
• Establishing ALM as a nationwide initiative across Spain
Adolescencia Libre de Móviles (ALM)
Adolescencia Libre de Móviles (ALM) is a voluntary movement of families working to postpone smartphone access during adolescence and encourage a healthier, more balanced relationship with technology.
Supported by over 30,000 families and professionals in health, education, and technology across Spain, ALM advocates for a social pact to reduce pressure for early smartphone use and strengthen family and community guidance throughout the digital transition.
